MCI Vs CHE: 5 Players Frank Lampard Must Bench If He Wants To Beat Manchester City This Weekend

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea would be traveling to the Etihad Stadium to lock horns with the league leaders on Saturday 20th of May 2023 for another thrilling Premier League game. Chelsea hopes to bounce back to their winning ways after they failed to beat Nottingham Forest at the bridge in match week 36.Pep Guardiola’s City is in their best performance this season and would also love to continue in that form when they meet Chelsea. Some Chelsea players should be dropped from the starting lineup this weekend if Frank Lampard wants to cruise to victory and this article states those five players.

1. Noni Madueke:

The Chelsea right-winger needs to be benched if the Blues should win the match against Manchester City. Madueke is a great footballer with good dribbling skills but lacks shot accuracy and finishing. The EPL clash would be a hot one and doesn’t need a player that wastes vital chances. Raheem Sterling or Christian Pulisic should replace him.

2. Mudrky:

Frank Lampard should also drop Mudrky against City as his performances recently haven’t been top-notch. Mudrky lacks good finishing and also wastes vital chances.

3. Joao Felix: Joao Felix’s season hasn’t been quite impressive and should be benched this weekend. Chelsea needs an aggressive and decisive striker against Pep Guadiola’s Man City and Felix is never the one. Aubamenyang or David Fofona should be given a little opportunity.

4. Conor Gallagher: Gallagher would do no good to the club if he starts against City. Manchester City is known for possession football and the Blues need a player that can take them unaware through counterattacks.

5. Trevoh Chalobah:

Chalobah has been converted to a right-back recently and should be benched for Welsey Fofana this weekend. Fofana has more speed and would be able to intercept City’s dangerous wingers.Use the comment section to share your opinion on this.
